A father couldn’t get a last glance of his daughter,
A mother couldn’t kiss her daughter for the last time and bid her adieu
And a brother couldn’t hold his sister’s hand for the last time and promise her to get the perverts who brutally raped her punished.
She was cremated and burnt down into ashes in the dusk of the night by the law.
Once again, we failed as a nation.
Today, once again, we failed as humans and even humanity bowed down in shame.

  7. When people who should do the right thing is behaving like a demon , and the saddest part is UP is one state which has a strong hold on which party should come to power. When one state is considering suppression is a privilege , something is fundamentally wrong with the people .

    1. I’m from UP. Nothing is good here. It’s one of the worst states to live in. It’s a state in which one of the BJP ministers says that families should give sanskar to girls and women of India to stop rapes. It is a state where the upper class of the villages are trying to prove the guilty innocent. How can we even think of getting justice when even the leaders give out such statements in their speech. What else can we expect from such illiterate leaders.

      1. I understand that Shivani, i happened to see a video where even school boy and girls are being influenced with the same mentality by their elders and teachers like its a girls fault. The young minds are been trained to think in that way 😦

  10. 😢 I hate seeing stuff like these on the news. Because it makes me more cynical about the world. I’m a big advocate of empathy and kindness but when you see something like these, it just breaks my heart and wanted to stop believing that this world can be saved 💔

    1. True. Every time I read about a woman getting raped, it sends chills down my spine. The brutality such men show is beyond imagination. We’ve already lost all the faith in the government. Don’t know how and when will all this stop and come to an end.💔

  11. It’s just horrible. I’ve read about this particular case sitting here in Europe and I felt sick afterwards. Still, I’m aware that crimes like these are happening everywhere, everyday, and I just want it to stop.

  16. I can’t even imagine what her family must be going through. Infact I don’t even want to.

    And the fact that we have made the rape of this young girl a poltical fight, an agenda is so disturbing.
