The value of touch.

Touch is so underrated.

You’ll never value someone’s touch
Until you lose it to an extent that you’ll never be able to feel it again.

You’ll remember how their touch
made you feel safe, comfortable and loved.

And how the warmth of their hug
made you feel at home.

You’ll cry your heart out just to feel that touch one more time.

The touch of hope.

The touch of love.

The touch which would give you goosebumps if you ever get to feel it again.

You never knew that someday you’ll yearn for just stroking their cheek
or how much you’ll someday crave for
just running your fingers all over their skin.

You’ll need that touch
to make you feel relaxed.

You’ll always need that touch
to embrace you and remind you
how special and loved you are.

“At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.”

  1. Yes..
Every touch matters…touch of a mom..of a child…of a parent ..of a doctor…a friend .any loved one…..a hand placed on the head ..ruffling the hairs …a pat on the back ..or even a slap…
The words matter only when they touch .when they have the meaning n depth…. Touch you should ..through. .hands ..minds ..hearts or words. …

  2. When one lets the hands speak and the dialogue with the skin becomes intense, it is like touching glory in that unwritten history that is only found in touch. I enjoy reading your poems. The intensity of his inspiration is reflected in each of his verses.

  3. Very, very beautiful…
    Touch the mind…
I write too day ago about, on my blog,
With other words, and other sense…
“Invisible mur ” or “Invisible wall” if you prefer…
We have all the same feeling about, finally.
    Touch the loved other…

  4. Very true. Touch is the most intimate sense and the one we cannot replicate once the opportunity for that connection is lost.

I wanted to let you know that I nominated you for a Sunshine Blogger Award. No pressure if award posts are not your thing. I mainly see these nominations as a way to express my appreciation for blogs I enjoy and promote them a little on my site.
